Extra info: The SL model from 1971 to 1989 (codename:R107) took the chassis components of the midsize 1968 Mercedes-Benz W114 model and mated them initially to two different V8 engines. The body styles for both R107 and C107 (codename for the SLC) did not change materially from introduction in 1971 to end of production in 1989. The R107 variant was a 2-seat convertible/roadster with standard soft top and optional hardtop and optional folding seats for the rear bench.
This is an originally European car, so the fuel consumption is much lower than USA-versions and you can do a one-day rally without stopping for fuel. Soft- and hard-top are both ready to go. Options are: Hard-top, Cream leather interior, anti-fog lights.
Very big maintenance was conducted, including new tyres, 15’ wheels, new windshield, waterpump, fuelpump, alternator, radiator and fueltank. The car is technically very healthy but the bodywork shows signs of use with some scratches.
Are you looking for a very reliable and very classic car? This “Bobby Ewing” SL is a great proposition.
